Foundation's Christmas Visit to Vorzel Ophanage

The Christmas event at Vorzel organized by the FUSF in December 2007 was a double success. First the party organized by the FUSF was very well received by the children. They were entertained by a Children’s Ensemble from Kyiv with a concert involving, not only Snegurochka and Ded Moroz, but a lot of dancing and repartee involving the children themselves. The gifts given to the children were also extremely popular!!

The second success was that on the day of the party a Scottish businessman from a company called Pulse donated $3 000 US worth of equipment to the orphanage which was greatly appreciated by the staff and the children. In addition, ten of his young executives also came to play with the children. To crown everything the whole event was filmed by Kyiv television.

Liana Rudneva, the local organizer of the Friends of Ukraine in Kyiv, did a wonderful job of organization, which was not easy because Vorzel is quite far from the centre of Kyiv and traffic jams are becoming a major problem in the city.
